I have to say to those who gave anchorage suite lodge 1 star are either natives who were kicked out for causing trouble or smoking in rooms when they were told to many times not to or those who even never came in the hotel Posts that are about 1-6 years old are irrelevant

It's a great place, service is great & location is prime.

Not bad on a budget, can be a bit sketchy with visitor fee that changes with the "type" of visitor in question, and their discretion which has fluctuated from $20 for 10 or 15 min refundable in allowed time frame to $40 per guest/visitor/whatever time allotment non-refundable if the person may look questionable or shady in their intentions. It needs some TLC and it's in a shady part of town, but the owner woke up in the middle of the night, showed me 3 separate rooms up and down the stairs and still gave me a decent rate for a week..
